About HouseKey

HouseKey SD was founded in 2021 as a go-to resource for dance music fans in San Diego.

Co-founders Nicole Little and Tate Stone Hinds were out spending nearly every weekend on the city's dance floors, following local collectives and getting to know the venues, promoters, and people shaping the scene.

What began as a weekly roundup of the events, festivals, and venues they were recommending to a group chat with friends has grown into a platform connecting the people building San Diego's dance music community with the people showing up for it.

These days, their respective careers in music mean they're more selective about their nights out. But Nicole and Tate also know that a scene can't grow if people stop showing up, whether they're newcomers fresh from their first “where has this been all my life?” night or regulars who still call half the venues by their old names.

That's why HouseKey SD keeps unlocking the nights worth leaving the house for and supporting the local collectives making them happen.
