Blu Thunder Disco
Jesse discovered electronic music at Electric Forest in 2016, his first festival. He is drawn most to disco house, breakbeat and grime, and plans to lean further into soulful disco and house as his understanding of music theory deepens.
He moved to San Diego in March 2020 and joined the Bang Bang team around New Year's, crediting the venue with a lot of his professional growth. He has also played 1835 Studios and a birthday event at Sunset Cliffs, and hopes to expand to venues like AC Lounge and Bloom.
He described a recent trip to Burning Man as one of the most meaningful experiences of the past several years, and named JesusDaPnk, Soraya, Boiz House and MNTRA as ones to watch from the local scene.
The high I get from dancing with a crowd is the best high I can achieve.
Looking ahead, he's aiming to release at least two tracks before year's end and is on the hunt for venues for disco themed events, taking a gradual, learning focused approach to his project.
